Service Description
3D information capture using various methods, including laser scanning, photogrammetry, traditional surveying approaches and using BIM authoring software to develop a 3D model of the existing conditions for a site, facilities on a site, or a specific area within a facility or site by importing point cloud data and referencing 360 photos.
Laser Scanning:
- High-precision laser scanners capture millions of data points, creating a highly accurate point cloud.
- Point clouds can then be converted into 3D models using specialized software.
Photogrammetry:
- Multiple photographs of the structure or site are taken from different angles.
- Photogrammetry software analyzes the images to create a 3D model based on the overlapping features.
Drone Mapping:
- Drones equipped with cameras can capture aerial images of large areas efficiently.
- These images can be used for photogrammetry to create 3D models of the site.
Manual Modeling:
- In some cases, 3D models can be created manually based on existing drawings, plans, or field measurements.
